Decorating the Tree

Our first Christmas tree in our new house! Yay!

Lu did an excellent job decorating the tree.

Making Christmas cards is hard work! He loves the 'ditter-do' though. Took me forever to figure out what he was talking about.
L: Where my ditter-do? I want ditter-do Mommy.
Me: Oh, you mean glitter glue?
L: Yes, ditter-do.

I didn't have the heart to tell him that his ditter-do design looked like a big glitter turd....

Speaking of turds, Lu pooped in the potty the other day. "Look Mommy! I peed sausage!"
For some reason he has pee and poop mixed up. Not sure why. I'm starting the potty training more and more...with the hopes that he'll be trained by the time the baby comes. Fingers crossed but I'm not counting on it!

O Christmas Tree

We got our Christmas...along with half of NJ.
We went to a great Christmas tree farm.

They had a big wooden train to play in.

We walked and walked to find the perfect tree.

Here it is! The workers cut it down for you...too much liability I guess.

They had a tractor ride. The driver said that Lu smiled the whole time around the loop.

And the best part was that Santa was there! And Lucius wasn't scared out of his mind! What a difference a year makes.
Here's the approach.

Not sure what to do.

Tom and I are feeding him lines to say...."Tell Santa what you want for Christmas." "I want five toys" "Submarine"

He gave Santa a big hug.

And let Santa hold him.
There was no line so Santa had lots of time on his hands.

According to Lu the best part was that he got two candy canes. However, a fur-row (squirrel) ate half of one (Lu accidentally dropped it).

We got to see the elves making all of the Christmas toys.

They had a maze. Lu made it all the way to the fence and then proclaimed that he was lost ("I lost!"). We found him. No worries.

The sun was shining directly into our eyes. It was slightly painful.

23 weeks belly pictures

Lu insisted on being in the picture. This was the only way that he could keep his eyes open with the flash.

Kissing the baby.

Poking my outie belly button. He's obsessed with it.

Some more cousins visits

Cindy, Rik, Alex, and William came up for visit. Lucius had a blast, per usual. He loves his cousins (and aunts and uncles too!). Unfortunately, I only got one picture.

The boys playing Wii.

Uncle Rik, Alex, and William played with Lu all day Saturday while Cindy and I painted the nursery. It's coming along. I'll post before and after pics when it's all done. I still need to paint the ceiling and doors and take out the ugly blue carpet.

Happy Thanksgiving!

We had a great Thanksgiving. We spent the day with friends, eating lots of good food and chatting away. Tom and I were thankful for the past 6 crazy months while Lu was thankful for donuts.

Lu helped me make some cranberry sauce.

I also made some creamed onions and a pumpkin cheesecake.

I'm getting bigger by the minute.

Lu took a couple of spins in the jeep. I was surprised at how quickly he learned how to drive it...he was going forwards and backwards and steering and shifting all around the yard. He asked me to sit next to him...I guess to take his big mama for a spin...and then he realized that I wouldn't fit.

Making the turkey placemats with Drew (his long lost twin?).

Waiting for the Turkey to fry.

Eating the yummy meal.

Taking a much needed bath.
