Quick Update

Well, there's not really much to update. We're having the same computer issues again but I finally figured out that it's due to Pinnacle Studio. If I can't fix it, we may have to wipe the computer again and look into alternate video editing software. However, I just found out that Pinnacle bought out Steinberg which is the maker of the software program (i.e. Cubase LE) that Pinnacle is having compatibility issues with. So there has to be a fix right?! That's why I haven't been posting many pics or video lately. Hopefully, we'll be up and running again soon.

Lu is starting to free stand more and take a few steps. He has his "9-month" check-up on Friday(he's really closer to 10-months though). I'm interested to see how much he weighs. I'm having more and more trouble picking him up.

Wiped clean

We took the plunge and wiped our computer clean. It now seems to be working...so luckily it wasn't a hardware problem.
I've been going through old files on my laptop and came across these pictures. Thought I'd share.

Here's baby Ichabod. I can't believe he was that little.

Here's adolescent Ichabod.

Here's Tacit about 2 years ago.

The fake family (with nephews Cameron and Scott).

This is me 5 days before I gave birth. Yikes. Good thing I went a week earlier than my due date.

Mr. Potato Head

Lu's back to normal and eating up a storm. I can't cut the kielbasa fast enough. There's no doubt that he's a Sledjeski-Dinzeo...the kid loves to eat anything and everything. Here's some pics of him trying to feed himself mashed potatos.

Just hangin' out and looking out the window (FYI, I think the sheen is vaseline...he has very dry skin).

No pants and no video

This weekend Daniela asked me why Lu is never wearing pants or is always unbuttoned. Here's why:
1. It makes life a lot easier when he has the big D and needs his diaper changed every 10 minutes.
2. We're lazy.

Sorry I haven't posted videos/pics in awhile.
Here's why:
1. I had a near breakdown because of the &*^$%#^@ software I use for digital video editing (Pinnacle for those that are interested)would NOT render/burn to DVD. So, for the past 2 weeks I've been trying to correct the problem. I finally did by uninstalling and reinstalling the 3GB program (3GB means dealing with multiple disks and lots of time). Can someone explain to me why that would fix the problem?
2. After fixing Pinnacle we started having sound issues and slow processing on our &%*$^#% NEW laptop. We spent the weekend trying to figure that out.
3. I'm lazy.

Signs, signs, everywhere are signs

We've been doing baby sign language with Lucius in the hopes that it would cut down on frustration and subsequent melt downs. Well, for the past couple of weeks Tom has been insisting that Lucius has been signing "all done" and "eat". To be honest, I don't really buy it.

Lu did make it in to daycare on Thursday (finally). I found out that two other infants had the same illness. He's doing much better - I'd say 98%. I never realized that I'd be so excited about poop and inspecting every one.

While he was sick I did teach him how to high-five...so we weren't totally unproductive.

Oh yeah, he's also teething...again. His fourth tooth on the bottom is coming in. That one makes 8.

Dancing

I finally got some video of Lu dancing. He loves to dance when Tom plays guitar.

Still sick

I think Little Lu is on the mend. He's been doing much better this morning, but I spoke too soon last time...so we'll see. Lu had a rough Saturday...it's days like those that I really wish we had a washer and dryer! Tom was also sick but is now eating again so that's a good sign.
On Friday Tom took some video of Lu's "first steps". Well, you can kind of see him take two steps at the end of the video below. Decide for yourselves!

On a much happier and more exciting note...
For those of you that were following Quinn's first 7 weeks, he is now home! Yay, Quinn!

January illness

Since starting daycare in September, Lu has been sick once a month. And I'm hoping yesterday was his January illness. Unfortunately, he had some sort of stomach virus or something. Luckily I am now well versed in the "ins and outs" of diarrhea and I knew exactly what do! I'm happy to report that things seem to be much better today. It amazes me that even when sick, Lucius still has plenty of smiles and endless energy to get into trouble.

To sleep, perchance to sleep.

Overall and relatively speaking Lucius is a good sleeper. Unfortunately, he's back to his 4:30a waking. And that's just too early for me. We did a mixture of crying it out, laying back down, holding our breaths and waiting. Then at 5:45a I finally got up for good and got him out of bed. I guess the time change in March will help things.

At least his smiles and laughs brighten my day!

Dancing Machine

Lucius started "dancing" on Saturday. He finally learned that he can bend his knees when he's standing. He's such a dancing fool that he shimmied right out of his pants!

Here's a video of Lucius playing with various toys.
