Roseola anyone?

So, this past week was a complete waste. I got a call from daycare on Monday at 10am saying that Lu had a 102.5 fever. He was home through Wednesday with a 103 fever. Thursday morning there was no fever so I ushered him off to daycare. When I picked him up I noticed a rash around his neck but just chalked it up to the heat. By Friday evening it had extended across his face and down his torso. I'm guessing roseola but who knows. I got sick too...maybe with the adult version?

Getting ready in the morning.

I did have a Ladies' night out last weekend. I got to spend the evening with some good friends from grad school (Go Flashes!). We were out until 12:30a in the North End of Boston! Par-tay. The lobster ravioli was superb.

More beach pictures.

I can't believe that Alex is 14! That's how old I was when he was born. Yikes.

What's that smell?

15 months going on 15 years

Lu visited the doctor today and there's not much to report.

Weight = 25 lbs 6 oz (60th percentile)
Height = 33 1/4 (94th percentile)
Head = 50th percentile
Words = 0 (unless you count "uh-oh" which is quickly losing its novelty/cuteness)
Ears = excellent (yes!)
Hib shot = very good (although I think he came down with a fever and was rather cranky tonight)

Here are some more beach pictures.

The flounder.

The couples:

Chris and JoAnn

Darren and Kay

Cindy and Rik

Mom and Dad

The lovely family

The grandkids in the traditional pyramid pose. We couldn't get a good shot with our camera so this is a la Darren.

Here's our shot. It was past Lu's bedtime so he wasn't having it.

Ryan

Yay! After 6 years Scottie's tooth finally came in!

Lu's first time playing putt-putt. It was ridiculously hot and Lu didn't quite get the concept of moving on after finishing a hole. Drama ensued.

Wii!!!!! That was a lot of fun. I realized that my virtual bowling is way better than my real-life bowling...and I suck at tennis. I didn't even attempt baseball or boxing.

Beach Week 2007

The following pictures are from our trip to the Outer Banks last week. We had a great time! But man, a vacation is so much better without a baby. No offense, Lu.

We left CT at 9pm on Friday (7/7) and arrived at Nags Head, NC at 6am.
This is Lu's first time seeing the ocean. He actually loved it and tried to run right in.

I'm trying to hold him back.

This was our house. Oceanfront, 8 bedrooms, 7.5 baths, private pool, hot tub, elevator, 8 kids, 11 adults, and no pets.

Jagee (aka Gramps) and Uncle Darren smokin' cigars.

Cousin Willy riding in a wave.

Uncle Darren boogie boarding.

Cousin Bria in the pool.

Me and Lu in the pool. Lu loved the pool. In fact he loved it so much that he went under water twice when Mommy wasn't paying attention. He didn't even cry. Just wanted to be thrown around some more.

Here's some horsing-around pics. Lu's favorite game of the week was getting hit in the head with the beach ball or throwing it at someone else's head.

Here he is trying to escape our "baby gate".

One of the rare moments where Lu and his cousin CJ were playing nicely. For the most part CJ was saying "mine" and Lucius was repeatedly hitting him on the head. Oh, I'd also like to apologize to Aunt Cindy too. She bore the brunt of Lu's hitting. Maybe that means he just really likes you.

Playing with cousin Alex.

I'm going to bed so I'll post more pictures tomorrow.

NJ for the weekend

Some bath pictures.

We spent Saturday at our friends' house in NJ. It was their son's 2nd birthday. Lu loved all of Drew's toys. Especially his pool.

He liked to go down the slide head first. He quickly learned to keep his head up at the end. You can tell that he fell in the grass. He was covered in clippings.

Eating some yummy cake.

Lu and Drew hangin' out at the spa.

Checkin' out the big digger.

We can't wait to see everyone at the beach next week!
